church service today was unique. not that i totally agree with everything but it was indeed memorable. instead of a normal service today, we had a short message from Pastor David before a veiwing of a dvd to celebrate the church's jubilee year.

a jubilee year, like its name suggests, is a year of jubilee,a year of celebration and it happens only every 50 years. thats how old my church is. 50 years. every jubilee year symbolises a brand new start, like in the olden times, where all the slaves would be freed and return to their families, all the land would be returned to the original families who owned them 50 years ago. a whole new start.

the dvd was great. showing the church growing in strength and numbers, from a small old church at serangoon gardens, to having 2 churches now, in serangoon gardens and bishan. u see all the people who have stayed in church for the past 50 years, people who grew up in this church from a small kid. 50 years later, they are in the same church. and Pastor Quek, has conducted more than 700 funerals, more than 100 weddings and so on. he conducted weddings of those whose funerals he conducted.

it was really nice to watch that video.

i have a lot of stuff that i need to get out of me, but now, my mind is blank.

oh well, i shall go and complete my gp essay and e lectures.
