back from guides camp...

on the first day, everyone came n then we had luggage check... after the luggage check we went for a breifing before we had our activity which was knot tying. it was a little boring n i was very sleepy but i managed to learn some new knots... after knot tying, we learnt how to build an emergency shelter... my group's was not too bad except we did not tighten the side... yep, after that was lunch... in the afternoon, we had part two of knot tying. soon, it was dinner... after we had changed our clothes, we had patrol time where we had to come up with an item for our gangshow. then we had reflections n the sec3s had COH( court of honour). all the sec 3s were dozing off during COH. after COH, we went to take our stuff n slept in the amphitheatre under the stars... but instead of sleeping, we started talking abt stuff... it was so nice n the sec3s gotten to know each other better n become much more united...

second day, i was awaken by ms chan scolding some ppl at 3.30am. n surprisingly, some ppl managed to sleep through the scloding. after that, the ppl on sentry duty were laughing n i woke up. later, around 6 plus, i was once again woken up by ms tan scolding the sec 1s... then throughout the night, i kept waking up... after pt, we had breakfast. after a short breifing, the sec2s n 3s went for axemanship while sec 1s had their 5 pt programme. we used the axe to chop fire wood n charcoal wood n turf mr thana's ground... after lunch, we went to prepare for our outdoor cooking. some prepared food while others used the skills we learnt in the morning to start a fire to cook our food. at first, my group could start the fire but it went out... then in the end, we took a really long time to get a fire going. af ter outdoor cooking, we had our dinner n prepared for gangshow. the gangshow was funny... the items were mostly impromptu but the overall effect was funny... sec 2s n 3s went really high n crazy... after the gnagshow, the sec1s went to bathe while ms tan talked to the sec2s n 3s. then the sec2s went to bathe n sec 3s had COH. after COH, we had our supper n went to throw rubbish. i had sentry duty that night from 0130 to 0330 n i was so sleepy during the 1st half of my duty. we walked around the 1st n 2nd floor from the hall all the way to the dnt block there. the first time was creepy but the 2nd time we walked around, it was not so scary... my group sat down n started talking about teachers in our school. n there was a lot of cockroaches on the floor at night. then we went back to the hall n slept until 7 in the morning...

3rd day, had pt n then a game where we had to bounce a tennis ball into a hoop n call the other person's name. if the ball did not bounce once n the person did not catch the ball, we had to restart. we took a really long time to do it the first round but we succeeded after 29 min 15 sec. we tried another time n we took about 9 minutes. the game showed us how the company was like, our weakness n strenghts n how we work together. after that we cleaned up the whole sch. my patrol was in charge of cleaning the canteen. the sink was choked n we could nt find a sunction thingy to suck up the things that choked the sink, so we used our hands. it was gross. after that, we had a debrief n we were dismissed but the sec3s had to stay back to throw away all the rubbish... after that, my n lynette went to church to meet our parents n get a lift home... hahaha

guides camp was fun n it really bonded the sec3s n our patrols. it will be the last camp i will have until after my o levels which is like abt 14 months from now... sighs... i will miss our sec3 gg batch a lot after next yr... we have gotten super close over the past 2+ yrs... most of us gotten to know each other much better n we share our secrets too... although being united may be a good or bad thing like ms tan said, it will not be us, gg sec3 06 if we arent united. we make decisions as a whole n we work together as a team. all of us play a part n i hope we will continue being this united for the rest of our zhonghua days.
